How many rolls will I need?

The length is stated on the roll (the width is 53 cm).

In the case of plain wallpaper, one roll is enough for four lengths at a room height of 2.5 m. For patterned wallpaper, one roll is usually enough for three lengths. Measure the room's perimeter and deduct e.g. 2 metres for windows and doors to arrive at the number of running metres. For example, if you have 4+4+3+3 m = 14 metres of wall minus 2 m = 12 metres you will need 24 lengths (one length is 53 cm wide). Each roll provides four lengths, so you will need six rolls.

A normal roll is 10.05 m long, and the number of lengths it will provide depends on the pattern. The table below shows the requirement for various room measurements at a room height of 2.5 m.

Floor area      Patterned     Plain
3x4 m 9 7
4x5 m 11 9
5x6 m 14 11

What type of paste or adhesive should I use?
