Oskar is a typical standard wallpaper from Hälsingland, dating back to the first half of the 19th century. It has been found at a number of farms in the Järvsö district. In those days, people were very fond of patterns that imitated satin. The clear colours can be viewed as a countryside interpretation of this fashionable influence.
