088-02 Kjellbergska gården
It was common in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to use the colour of the paper as the base colour of the wallpaper. This wallpaper, from Kjellbergs Gården in Gävle, is a good example of this approach. Small chequered patterns were common at this time. They were often printed in a sharp blue colour on a pale base, but other colours were used as well.
