The design for this wallpaper was found during the restoration of the church cottages built in Vilhelmina in Lapland in the mid- or late 19th century. The large floral pattern is very characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. This pattern was probably created in the 1890s, or possibly slightly earlier if the wallpaper was manufactured outside Sweden.
